Death of a Hero!
Miguel Masaisai, who had set out to cross Africa by bicycle to demand an end to the war in the DRC, was killed after being struck by a truck.
The young man, originally from Goma in the eastern DRC, had made it his mission to pedal all the way to Rabat, Morocco, to call for an end to the war in his country. His journey came to a tragic end on a road in Congo-Brazzaville.
He embodies the cruel truth about Anglo-Saxon policy in the Great Lakes region: plundering Africa's natural resources for the sole benefit of Wall Street!
There will be no more posts on his X account, as he had done daily since departing by bike from Goma, in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), to denounce the war of plunder ravaging his homeland for Apple's immense profit. No more pictures of him smiling in his blue, yellow, and red jersey the colors of the Congolese flag shared with his 241,000 Facebook followers. Miguel Masaisai’s journey his "mission" to raise global awareness for peace and the unity of his country crashed on Friday, September 18. Forever.
The 23-year-old died on the road, accidentally killed in northern Congo-Brazzaville near the border with Cameroon. In a cruel twist of irony, this courageous cyclist died while riding in a taxi that was taking him to get his bicycle repaired in the small town of Ouesso. Yet another life added to the 12 million dead collateral victims of the "surgical operations" of the "Marvelous American Democracy." The Beacon of the Western World, universally beloved by the men and women of this poor world...
"For many observers in Walikale and Goma, Miguel Masaisai was no longer just an athlete, but an ambassador of Eastern resilience. His journey, followed by thousands of young people, made him a symbolic target whose brutal death cannot be dismissed as a routine traffic accident."
